We Stopped Using ClickFunnels… Here’s What We’re Doing Instead

After using ClickFunnels for years we have completely stopped using it in house.

And now we are moving our clients away from it too.

Because it has one fatal flaw that is critical for conversions.

In this video from my YouTube channel, I explain what that flaw is and what you can use instead of ClickFunnels to increase your conversions.

If you’re familiar with the world of digital marketing, you’ve likely heard of ClickFunnels, the all-in-one marketing solution.

However, we have decided to part ways with this platform, and we are encouraging our clients to do the same.

Why?

There’s one fatal flaw with ClickFunnels that we simply couldn’t ignore: the page speed load times.

The data shows that for every second extra it takes a page to load, conversions fall by 20%.

So these 9 second page load times we were seeing with ClickFunnels just didn’t work for us.

But don’t worry – we’ve discovered a fantastic tech stack as an alternative.

The Benefits and Drawbacks of ClickFunnels

ClickFunnels has a lot going for it.

It’s convenient, it’s user-friendly, and it provides an array of features such as easy-to-build pages, order bumps, upsells, and membership site creation.

Plus, the supportive community and enticing awards system make it a popular choice for many marketers.

However, we’ve seen pages built in ClickFunnels that took a staggering nine seconds to load.

If you’ve ever run paid ads or planned to, you know that page speed load times are crucial to your campaign’s success.

Every second counts and can shave off valuable conversions, which is akin to throwing money down the drain.

Our New Tech Stack: Convertri, Kajabi, and ActiveCampaign

If you’re looking for a ClickFunnels alternative, the replacement tech stack we recommend consists of three main tools:

  1. Convertri for landing pages and funnels
  2. Kajabi for course hosting
  3. ActiveCampaign as our CRM and to execute our email marketing strategy

1. Convertri: The Fast-Loading Landing Page Builder

What sets Convertri apart is its emphasis on page speed load times.

This tool is designed to produce fast-loading pages, typically loading in about two to two and a half seconds.

By moving from ClickFunnels to Convertri, you can be sure that your landing pages load rapidly, improving your ad campaigns’ performance.

2. Kajabi: Secure Course Hosting and Affiliate Programs

Next, we use Kajabi to host our courses.

Not only does Kajabi offer an aesthetically pleasing platform for courses, but it also provides enhanced security – way better than the easily hackable ClickFunnels.

Kajabi also allows for the creation of affiliate programs, providing an additional stream of traffic and potential income.

3. Active Campaign: CRM and Email Automation

Finally, ActiveCampaign takes care of CRM and email automation.

For about $39 a month, depending on your list size, ActiveCampaign offers superior automation capabilities, allowing you to trigger more kinds of emails and actions based on engagement.

This means you can segment your list better than with Kajabi.

Together, these three tools cost approximately $285 a month – almost the same price as the full package of ClickFunnels.

But for about the same amount of dollars you’ll benefit from faster page load times, a more secure membership site, and better automation.

Can Kajabi Replace ClickFunnels Alone?

Kajabi is an all-in-one platform that could potentially replace ClickFunnels entirely.

However, while Kajabi is a great starting tool, it isn’t as dynamic or flexible as Convertri when it comes to landing pages or ActiveCampaign when it comes to email automation.

Alternatives for ClickFunnels Users

For those who want to keep on using ClickFunnels, you have options.

Some companies use Convertri for their landing pages and then process all orders through ClickFunnels, capitalizing on ClickFunnels’ fantastic order bump, double order bump, and upsell features.

Another option is to test pages with ClickFunnels and then move them into custom HTML for faster load times.

The Bottom Line

No big company uses just one tool for all their needs.

While ClickFunnels might seem like an attractive all-in-one solution, it has its limitations, particularly with page loading speed, which is a critical aspect for any online business.

The best way to handle your marketing needs is to find a tech stack that suits your specific requirements, and for us, the combination of Convertri, Kajabi, and ActiveCampaign has proven to be a winning one.

We’ve successfully replaced ClickFunnels with these alternatives, achieving faster loading pages, more secure course hosting, and superior email automation.

This tech stack might not be the cheapest, but it’s cheaper than the full version of ClickFunnels and offers excellent value for money.

Most importantly, peace of mind knowing that you’re not throwing conversions away due to slow loading times.

However, remember that there’s no one-size-fits-all solution in digital marketing.

Begin with what you need, and expand or adapt as your business evolves.

And if you’re interested in learning more about Convertri and how to build a landing page with it, check out this post about how to build a landing page with Convertri where we will walk you through the process step by step.

In the ever-evolving digital landscape, the key is to remain adaptable, always be testing, and don’t be afraid to switch tools if something isn’t working for you.

Our transition from ClickFunnels is proof that there are always alternatives out there – and often, they might just be better.

How ‘bout GoHighLevel.com? I believe it is the ClickFunnels killer. Every marketing agency I have interacted with is using GHL instead of ClickFunnels or InfusionSoft/Keap…

I’ve been hearing lots of good things about GHL level. Haven’t used it myself but we’re talking about testing it out with one of our offers. Mostly so we can house the entire sales process from lead to high ticket sale in one place and not have to have an email platform and a sales CRM separate
